For a charity auction I was asked to make a work on an existing polyester apple. Thanks to the care of Rotary Eeklo I got the chance to create something that would raise money for Voedselbank, an organisation that provides food for less fortune people in Belgium.
I've cut the apple into pieces to show how fragile and unbalanced our society and food chain is. The gap between rich and poor is still there and loads of food is thrown away while many people near us have nothing to eat.
My artwork was bought for the price of €2,000, so I'm happy to support Voedselbank with something creative.
